The Magic and Mystery of the Taper

It's late in the season and many of us on in or close to taper. Tapering has this sort of "we're done" image, but that's really the furthest thing from the truth. Done right, the taper can produce amazing results on race day. It's all about sharpening the sword, but not using it.

On the heels of Ironman 70.3 Atlantic City and Augusta we dive into perspective. So many things can go wrong in training, racing, and life, but there's always a way to shift perspective. How do you really believe you belong? You're a swimmer, you're a cyclist, you're a runner. Believe it. As Ryan Holiday says, "The Obstacle Is The Way."
